Many of you here know I heavily advocate a plant based diet. That I believe the animal products that most Americans eat, laced with steroid's, anti-biotics and hormones, are severely detrimental to our health. It has also been proven processed foods are anathema.
Still, I am also of the belief of using whatever tools work. I think being dogmatic about some of this lifestyle stuff is a serious error, and can have tragic results. If one needs to take certain drugs or do certain therapies that are harmful to the body and brain, but are actually proven to save lives, and there is no time for life style changes, then by all means, go for it. What is the sense of standing on ceremony? I have heard some people say "I have not taken even so much as an aspirin in 15 years, that my body is pure and clean, and that I will not take (so and so) drug under any circumstances, even if it means that I die." That is sheer lunacy. Western medicine has many flaws, but one thing it is excellent at is trauma treatment. I know if I am in a car accident, and I need certain drugs or treatments to stay alive, chemicals I would never put in my body under any other circumstance, then I am doing it. I'll worry about the clean and damage when I recover.
For example, if someone has cancer, I am of the opinion that having it surgically removed is a smart choice. That and doing a plant based diet offers, imho, the highest chance of sustained success with a healthy quality of life. Many holistic and alternative medicine people gasp when I say surgery to remove the cancer is probably a good idea because of their dogmatic views.
Of course I do not recommend undergoing chemo. And the new class of immuno drugs that showed so much promise are more and more looking to be extremely dangerous. People are literally dying from them. As an aside, most people do not realize at once cancer has metasticised, chemo is worthless anyway. It is just a palliative treatment at that point, and even then not a very good one.

So on to the main point of my post. Some of you may be surprised to hear my endorsing a treatment that is fairly in the western camp of medicine, not tied much in with a raw and vegan lifestyle.
My friend in NYC has recommended a number of people to see Dr. Gil Lederman for cancer treatments, as an alternative to the barbaric chemo routine. With fantastic results. My friend even has his brother-in-law is currently seeing Dr. Lederman.

Dr Lederman is Harvard educated and has been doing Radiosurgery for over 2 decades.
He has been involved in some questionable dealings with insurers and maybe is a bit of a glory seeker. I have copy and pasted his website and other various websites below that discuss the great work he has done with cancer, and some that discuss his infamy. I would offer a word of advice to anyone who would consider using him; don't throw the baby out with the bath water. His treatments work. That's the bottom line to me. Judge the man as you will, but his methods are getting results.
If you all recall, Jimmy Carter was in the news about two years ago and diagnosed with what seemed to be a bleak outlook.
He went to Dr. Lederman and is doing very well now.
So has Henry Kssinger, and Rudy Guliani. They are also cancer free.
From what my friend told me, (and he is also a doctor, BTW) people with wealth and in the upper levels of society consider Dr. Lederman the go to guy for many types of cancers. It is a shame Lederman is not more well known to the average person. To me it seems like another case of the average person getting the standard routine (read worst) cancer treatment, and the powerful and influential getting the best society has to offer.
My friend tells me that Lederman's office has framed letters of thanks from more then a few famous people thanking him for curing them, when other doctors told them it didn't look good.
I have no idea what kind of insurance he takes. I did not discuss that with my friend. It may be, judging by the medicaid issue he and SIU hospital had, that a portion of it, maybe all of it, is out of pocket for many people. So maybe only those with some money can have this done. Again, I am not sure either way.
I have a tentative appointment to see him sometime in the late winter or early spring. Just to get an idea in a face to face talk with him about what his treatment generally about and to hear him discuss some of his experience's. It is going to cost me, as his office made clear that a consultation with someone who does not have cancer (me) is not something he does. But I offered to pay for the time to speak to him and explained why, and they agreed. I think it is worth it, for my sake, if I ever get cancer, and for the welfare of loved ones and clients, whenever I resume counseling again, that is...

As always, don't take my word for it. Do your homework. I would not be advocating this, especially something out of my core beliefs of health, if I did not think it worked. Neither would my friend be telling some of his clients to go if he did not see merit. I will add that it does not change the fact that diet and lifestyle are the ultimate elements to sustainable mental, emotional, and physical health. This is just another modality for those looking for alternatives to chemo and immuno drugs. If you have cancer, chances are you have stretched your body beyond it's limits, knowingly or not. I would not suggest anyone use this treatment as a sort of morning after pill. The best way to cure cancer is to take care of yourslef and not get it.
But thank God this is available.

A review.
First of all I will start out by saying that Dr. Lederman states that he is only able to help at least 50 Percent of individual who come to him for assistance. My heart goes out to those who were not able to recieve his life changing procedures for whatever reason. In our initial consultation with Dr Lederman he states that he will not make any promises that every thing will work out for good. But he does say that that's up to God. My Mother was diagnosed with Glioblastoma about 9 or 11 weeks ago by her primary doctor in San Antonio Texas and was given 6 months to live. The S.A. doctor stated that the cancer had metastasised from her breast cancer she had a few years back. After test ordered by Dr Lederman it was found that there was no cancer found in mother breast. Before my family got mother to New York to see Dr Lederman she was non responsive. She was scheduled for 30 treatments of radiation to the tumors directly in her brain. After two weeks of treatment she begin to respond to simple questions. Dr lederman refers to this as her brain was waking up. In all of this my reason for my story is to give glory to God for Dr lederman and his technique of treating cancer. He is an awesome man who love's God and he himself give glory to God for his abilities. In closing, Mother is home now and she is talking, walking and eating all because of the work of Dr Gil Lederman. She still has a ways to go and we surly do expect way more than 6 months of quality life for our mother. Words cannot explain our gratitude for Dr Lederman. May God continue to bless you and your wonderful staff who was very caring, kind, and loving during our stay and visits to your clinic.
