Perhaps SOME returning Globs ... in more than a dozen stays as Diamond, Glob, and LTG, paying cash or points, I've never received an upgraded room over what was booked.

At least on of the junior suites had all its space in the bathroom and the bedroom really wasnt large at all, looked like what a king deluxe size would be.

Just finished up a two night stay here.
I think @dwhelan5 post about this hotel sums it up perfectly for me. Specifically his note about the turn down service and housekeeping bizarrely not cleaning up dishes/cups and some amenities not being consistently replenished as one would expect of a five star hotel, particularly comparing it to 5 star stays at: Andaz Tokyo, St. Regis Osaka, and Beverly Hills Waldorf Astoria over the past year,
In addition, I would recommend trying to avoid a connecting room. We were in a king room on the first floor facing rue de la paix with a connecting door to the next room.
The second night we were there, we could hear people in the connecting room arguing, their phone ringing, and later amorous noises at around 5 am in the morning all through the door of the connecting room.

I points and TSU'd a suite booking here, and was upgraded further to a 'Park Deluxe Suite'. Room was fantastic, even though not a true suite and a little small.
I found housekeeping adequate to my expectations. Turn down service had my room and bathroom cleaned, waters placed by bed. However, I haven't seen any chocolates provided during turn down in luxury hotels around SE Asia (where I typically stay) for a long while so perhaps my expectations are a little lower.
Biggest problem for me was lack of service during breakfast. Particularly one day where staff failed to hand me a menu when I sat down (QR code or physical), let dirty plates stack up on my table, and didn't come back to check if I wanted anything else (IE coffee or second dish). Provided feedback to the front office manager and things improved the following day. Breakfast service was overall quite in-personal for me, and in fact I had more personalised service a few weeks later at the Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile.

That's very odd. Especially if you are a LTG. I stayed at PHV perhaps 10 times and as far as I can recollect they have always upgraded me. For most stays even a couple of categories including my last stay earlier this year.

Just cancelled a King room I had booked with points months ago (ie before they introduced the King Balcony and King rue de la Paix View).
It immediately went back to inventory as a King Balcony (there was no one available minutes before) but not available with points confirming the suspicion they have significantly reduced the inventory of « standard » King room available for points…:-(

I was recently upgraded to a suite on check in on a points stay. TSU space was never available in advance.
This was my second time at the property. Both stays were outstanding. I didnt get an upgrade on my first visit, but the room was still nice. I was very pleased with the suite I received this time.
I love this hotel.

There was a significant robbery today at the Piaget store next door to the Park Hyatt. Hoping no guests of the hotel were harmed.

Not sure if this is the right place to post my question. I am looking for a property in Paris July 24. Seems the only place that has standard award booking is the Vendome at 45k a night. The HR Etoile is available but at a price that includes the club which I feel like overpaying as I am a globalist. i will assume all are really booked ( most sold at the guarantees rate) due to the upcoming Olympics that is weeks away as my stay is in early July. Are they expecting that many people on top of the usual summer tourists this early?
I stayed here over 5 years ago, not sure if I want to splurge for that many nights ( 5 nts).
Lastly, there is no club here?

No PHs have Lounges anymore. HAM deflagged, CBR and MEL closed theirs post Covid.
I would argue take what you can get during an extraordinary event. As a Glob you could book the HR without the points and change as tone progresses. You need to cancel 7 days prior, otherwise it converts to a cash rate.

The PH Vendome is a very nice/special property with an impressive breakfast when compared to most others
Its only rivaled by the non existent breakfast spread @ Hyatt Centric in Waikiki (just some bad Saturday humor)
While The PH is wildly overpriced and a lot of points its somewhat worth it IMO on points still and thats coming from
one who is jaded and cynical. It would be my first choice.
I've never had a bad stay there since it opened.
Haven't been there since prior to the pandemic but still a memorable stay.
Things change overnight in hospitality so YMMV
Was treated like a Prince as a Glob.
There is a well known so called 5 star hotel in NYC not mentioning any names that could learn from
these folks a bit here and there
Just sayin

Things do change. Last week breakfast was not in the bar area but rather in an adjacent function room. Just not the same.
Bar area was under renovation yet no mention on Hyatt web site, in welcome email or at any other time including check in.

Really?
If Im not wrong the only function room on the ground floor (most are in the basem*nt with gym and spa and a few smaller ones on the first floor) is the old bar which has been converted post Covid and is way too small and can only seat max 20-30 guest if the main bar and breakfast room are closed for renovation?

Breakfast was set up in the room across from entrance to Pur. Certainly looked like a function room to me.
Bar area was was closed off and covered up.
